The idea is a child could blow into the phone and animate a pinwheel, as example, on the screen. Imagine 100's of pinwheels hustling through the dark underground of NYC. Accelerometers have never gone this fast. In the afternoon Jules from MTA showed up and as I write is engaged in a pitch on the idea.

[052] Spit Paint

Created by W+K in partnership with Marvellous and Greyworld, Spit Paint is a recent installation at the Nokia World held only few days ago in London. Shown at the show was an app running on a new Nokia N8 allowing you to apply digital paint to a wall, in this case a 6m by 3m wall of LED lights. You could also apply paint via a “digital bucket of paint” provided at the installation with a specially designed control panel to record a face over which the paint would be applied.

[051] Braun Tube Jazz Band at REPAIR in Linz 2010 (Ars Electronica)

Ei Wada is a Japanese artist/musician. This year at Ars he gave probably one of the best performances at the festival. Wada's band is composed of him and a set of old Braun tube televisions, of the type that nowadays you see dumped in the trash.
